The company
We start with an idea. Not a material, not a market, not a shape — an idea. Everything that follows is in service of that.
The idea is why a chair by Neil David looks the way it does: geometric, clean, the structure visible and considered rather than hidden. The geometry is not a style choice. It is the idea made physical.
We call this Unusual Usual. Ordinary things, made with the kind of attention they rarely receive. A chair is still a chair. It is just one you notice.
We build things to last — and to come apart cleanly when their time is done. The parts that wear can be replaced. The materials can be returned to the cycle. We will handle that part ourselves, if it helps.
This is not a sustainability policy. It is how we think a well-made thing should behave.
